We are brought down to the dust; our bodies cling to the ground. Rise up and help us; rescue us because of your unfailing love.  Psalm 44:25-26

Abraham Lincoln is quoted as saying, “I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go. My own wisdom and that of all about me seemed insufficient for that day.” Isn’t that the way for most of us? When we have exhausted all possible avenues with no results, we finally drop exhausted to our knees and plea for God to help us. And because he loves us, he does.

Prayer:  Loving and gracious God, help me to come to you more quickly when I need guidance, strength, comfort, and healing. Create in me a willingness to let go of my struggles so that your power can transform my situation. Thank you for your unfailing love. Amen.
