“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil…”  Matthew 6:13

None of us are exempt from crisis or struggles. We are not just up against our own faults and shortcomings, we are also up against cosmic evil. And so we pray that we will not become vulnerable to those powers that rage against God’s kingdom.

Because God’s power is greater than any other power, we are assured that we will not meet anything that is too much for us at our present level of understanding. Perhaps during those times of temptation, we who are asleep will be awakened, refined, and strengthened.

Prayer:  Almighty God, I know for certain that you will not lead me into battles that will harm me, and I believe that for every battle you will prepare me and strengthen me. Amen.
